A detailed report will be provided which identifies student’s strengths and weakness and suggestions for improvement. Designed for the 8th grade student who wants to be well informed and prepared for high school. Focuses on helping parent(s) and student understand how current and future performance, activities, and behavior will affect post secondary options. Consultation with student and parent(s) will include:
- Evaluation of middle school academic record
- Selection of high school classes and curriculum with eye toward college
- Exploration of extracurricular interests and discussing summer opportunities
Designed for the 9th or 10th grade student who wants to plan and prepare for admission to a selective college. Consultation with student and parent(s) during freshman and sophomore years will include:
- Clarifying values and goals related to college selection
- Developing a roadmap of coursework and testing
- Discussing the activity resume and opportunities of interest (clubs, sports, service)
- Planning how and when to begin the college selection process
- Unlimited appointments, phone and email access to discuss any issues of concerns as they arise throughout the school year
Designed for the 11th or 12th grade student beginning to consider college and desire insight into college search and application process. Ongoing consultation and support during this very important two-year period will include:
- Financial Aid Advising
- Clarifying values and goals related to college selection
- Reviewing the application timeline
- Creating a college list
- Giving tips for college visits and interviews
- Brainstorming essay ideas
- Evaluating acceptance offers
- Discussing the transition to college
- Unlimited appointments, phone and email access to discuss any issues of concerns as they arise throughout the school year.

Generally, works well for student and parent(s) who already have a very solid list of appropriate colleges, or who feel comfortable developing the list on their own, but desire “a la carte” support such as resume reviews, interview practice, essay brainstorming and revisions, application and essay critiques, scholarship application review, etc. All phone and email contact time is “billable time.”
College bound students will get a first-hand look at colleges and universities in North Carolina. Because of our established relationships with college and universities admission representatives, we are able to obtain meeting with admissions representatives and student led tours. This helps take the hassle and worry away from the family in organizing college visits. The tour will enable you to get a sense of what colleges and universities have to offer and assist you in narrowing down or adding new college choices.
