(2) Career and Personal Interests Assessment Many students begin college unsure about what their intended major will be or change their major while in college. We help students pinpoint strengths and interests and recommend specific academic and extracurricular college programs, thereby, helping students focus on exactly what they need to do to achieve their goals. The Newly Revised Strong Interest Inventory, College Edition, the most useful personal assessment for students going to college, is administered with feedback. It is nationally recognized and considered to be the “gold standard” of career and college major-related assessment instruments. (3) Academic and Extracurricular Assessment The student's academic transcript, standardized test scores, extracurricular activities, projected courses, honors, awards, talents and future goals are discussed. Suggestions are made on how the student can utilize their academic, extracurricular, volunteer, and summer activities to enhance application. (4) Essays/Personal Statements Brainstorm essay and personal statement topics and formulate ideas that will help convey who you are to the admissions committee. We will assist you with ongoing revisions, and we will give you detailed suggestions for editing content, grammar and vocabulary. We will help you highlight your unique attributes, character and interests with a strong essay. (5) Interviews College admissions and scholarship interview processes are reviewed, and we provide students with important tips to help them succeed in the interview. A list of possible interview topics is provided, and we role-play with students so that they can practice and refine their answers. Suggested questions to ask the interviewer are also supplied, so that students can make an excellent impression. (6) Organization of Applications Student’s applications are reviewed including identifying and resolving any areas of concerns prior to submission.
